We are looking for a supervisor who will be in charge of managing one of our working shifts. Duties primarily revolve around the general management of your direct reports, which include, but are not limited to, providing and demonstrating task instructions, keeping attendance, and measuring key performance indicators. You will be expected to keep records and produce reports that will be used to review team performance.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills and a passion for excellence. Previous leadership experience is a plus.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent required and two (2) plus years’ experience.

 

Reading: Advanced Level: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical journals and procedures, financial reports, legal documents, and governmental regulations as well as literature, books, reviews, reports, and abstracts.

 

Math: Intermediate Level: Ability to deal with a system of real numbers; and practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios/proportions and Position requires the ability to apply fundamental concepts of theories, work with mathematical operations, methods, and functions of real and complex variables.

 

Writing: Advanced Level: Ability to write policies, contracts, speeches, formal presentations, and/or technical and legal documents and correspondence.

 

Human Collaboration Skills: Recommendations regarding policy development and implementation are made and/or recommended. Contact may involve support of controversial positions or the negotiation of sensitive issues or important presentations. Evaluates customer satisfaction, develops cooperative associations, and utilizes resources to continuously improve customer satisfaction. Work has a moderate impact on the organization.

 

Supervision: Work requires managing and monitoring work performance by directing subordinate, evaluating program/work objectives and This position is responsible for supervising the positions of drivers, janitorial/maintenance, valet and CSA’s of the Parking Services operation/facility.

 

Technical Skill: Skilled: Work requires a comprehensive, practical knowledge of a technical field with use of analytical judgment and decision-making abilities appropriate to the work environment of the organization. Abilities Required:

 

The Supervisor is to lead by example. They should be able to perform all physical tasks required of front-line staff members – luggage assistance, driving a vehicle, prolonged standing and walking. The Supervisor position requires to work an eight- and one-half hour daily schedule (30-minutes for lunch). The Operations Manager or General Manager will assign the work hours and days off to meet the needs of the operations. However, the Supervisor must be flexible to work any hours of the day, weekends and be available by phone to meet the needs of the 24/7 operation of the

parking facility. The position of Supervisor is required to work all scheduled hours at the parking facility to oversee and meet all operational, employee and customer needs.

 

Physical Demands:

 

Overall strength demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

 

Physical Demands: Continuously requires vision, hearing and talking. Frequently requires standing for three hours or more at a time, sitting for three hours or more at a time, handling and foot controls. Occasionally requires fine dexterity, walking entire parking facility, lifting, reaching, pushing/pulling, bending and twisting. Rarely requires carrying, kneeling and climbing.

 

Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: motor vehicle, small hand tools, two-way radios, smart phone, copier.

 

Computer Equipment and Software: computer or tablet, revenue control equipment and software, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, timekeeping software

 

Environmental Factors:  Exposure to noise and vibration and physical hazards. Seasonal exposure to extreme temperature and wetness and/or humidity

 

Primary Work Location: WallyPark LAX, WallyPark Express, Joe’s Airport Parking and Airport Center as directed.

 

Non-Physical Demands:

Frequently requires time pressures, frequent change of tasks, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, and working closely with others as part of a team. Occasionally requires emergency situations, irregular schedule/overtime, tedious or exacting work, and noisy/distracting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge, greet and engage customers.
  • Assist customers with service-related questions and issues.
  • Assist guests with revenue control equipment at entrance/exit.
  • Report any operational issues to the Operation’s Manager or GM that cause poor customer service.
  • Ability to multitask and willingness to perform job functions of all subordinates in our valet, driver, dispatch, and maintenance departments.
  • Assist customers with luggage entering and exiting the shuttle
  • Handle customer complaints calmly and professionally
  • Ensure cleanliness of the shuttles, parking garage/lots, restrooms, office space, lobby, breakrooms, and landscaped areas.
  • Ensure each shuttle driver has their name properly displayed in the assigned shuttle and are wearing their name tag for customers to see.
  • Help develop and implement strategies that ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee CSA’s, drivers, car/bus washers, facility maintenance and janitorial team and coordinate work tasks/duties, and follow-up to ensure completion.
  • Ensure that all employees comply with company rules, policies and standard operating procedures/company’s handbook.
  • Ensure that drivers schedules are satisfactory to meet the operational needs, and coordinate coverage for sick calls, vacations, etc.
  • Conduct daily walkthrough of the entire facility to ensure compliance to city, state and local requirements, and safety, conditions, lighting/signage, landscaping, and cleanliness. Report safety concerns, needed repairs security issues to the Operations Manager or GM.
  • Ensure that driver’s conduct their shuttle pre-trip inspection, shuttle reports are completed, collected, filed and maintenance deficiencies are reported to the maintenance department for repair.
  • Ensure that driver rotation to and from the airport is properly spaced/timed to meet service pick-up and drop-off frequency requirements.

 

*Supervisor will be responsible for the managing of operations/employees with shift flexibility.*
