    The Regional Human Resource Manager performs human resources-related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action and employment equity programs for the Wlally Park Western Region which includes locations in Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle and Denver.

    • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field or equivalent education, training and experience.
    • Five to Seven years of experience in human resource generalist role.
    • Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations.
    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification

    This is a full-time position. The typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.


    • Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
    • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
    • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
    • Represents the company for any unemployment claims.
    • Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce.
    • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
    • Maintains working relationship with union officials and adheres to terms of labor contract by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions.
    • Represents management in investigating, answering and settling grievances, by arranging and scheduling grievance hearings between union personnel, supervisor and the management team.
    • Responds to all EEOC and NLRB charges.
    • Conducts new-hire orientation.
    • Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing Human Resource goals, objectives and systems.
    • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
    • Intake of workers compensation claims and maintenance of OSHA logs
    • Establishes and maintains employee records and reports. Participates in Human. Resource meetings and attends other operational meetings
    • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although travel to other markets in the west coast region (currently Seattle, San Diego, Denver) will be expected
